Simon Elliott
Simon Peter Elliott was born in England in May 1961. He has spent the past thirty years studying and training with some of the most famous and respected teachers and players in the world of golf.
His first introduction to golf was through observing his father playing at the age of 12 years where his curiosity and enthusiasm for the game led him to the Professional ranks in 1978. Under the guidance of David Dunk PGA Professional and European Tour Player his initiation began and led Simon to make it his life’s work. In 1982 he acquired full status of the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) and later went on to become the youngest Head Professional in the country at 23 years. His timing couldn’t have been better, as Dunk moved on to pastures new, Elliott climbed into his mentors shoes and progressed up the ladder. He established himself as a respectable player capturing regional Midland and Yorkshire PGA titles, however, in the years to come he would become more recognised for his teaching than for his playing. With brief visits to the tour his frustration and disappointment began to show and he soon began to realise that the satisfaction for teaching showed far more reward.
In 1994 he moved to Druids Heath in the Midlands and this gave Simon the opportunity to expand his teaching philosophy and wider recognition.
Simon however took a bold step in 1996 and made a move to the Costa-del-sol, Spain and established his international teaching academy.
Simon Britain’s most innovative personal golf instructor offers his simple key approach to learning golf and currently runs his golf schools at the Cotswold Edge Golf Club, Gloucester, England,
Probably the greatest skill as a communicator is to take complex concepts and present them in a readily accessible and interesting way. I think you will appreciate this once you have taken a lesson from Simon.
